What Ultra Luxury Interior Design Truly Means
Ultra luxury interior design is not a price point. It is a philosophy — an uncompromising commitment to the absolute best: the finest materials, the most skilled craftsmen, the most considered proportions, and the deepest attention to how a space shapes the experience of living within it. At Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors, we have been practicing at the pinnacle of this discipline for over two decades, delivering residences that redefine what is possible in private architecture and interior design.
Kenneth Bordewick — known internationally as "The Billion Dollar Designer" and "The Father of Ultra Luxury" — leads every engagement personally. His client roster includes royalty, heads of state, technology billionaires, and entertainment principals who require not merely beauty, but residences that function as extensions of their identity, their ambitions, and their legacy.
The BHLI Philosophy: Quiet Luxury
The philosophy that underpins every Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors project is Quiet Luxury — the art of extraordinary sophistication expressed without ostentation. In a Quiet Luxury residence, there are no statement pieces competing for the eye's attention. The room itself is the statement. Every material, every proportion, every spatial sequence is resolved with the same level of intention — so that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and the atmosphere communicates authority and elegance the moment you enter.
Quiet Luxury means natural stone from a single quarry, not a composite. It means hand-knotted silk rugs, not digitally printed imitations. Unlacquered brass aged by time, not polished chrome. Linen that feels like second skin. Cashmere upholstery that invites touch. Joinery so precisely executed that the eye can find no gap and the hand can find no seam. These are not details — they are the entire point.
Six Pillars of Ultra Luxury Design
Bespoke Craftsmanship
Every significant piece of furniture, millwork, and architectural element is custom-designed and fabricated. We commission from the world's finest makers — French ébénistes, Italian marmorari, English upholsterers, Japanese lacquer masters.
Material Excellence
Stone is selected at the quarry. Timber is chosen for grain direction and figure. Fabrics are woven to specification. Every material decision is made at the source — not from a distributor's inventory.
Wellness Integration
Circadian lighting, EMF shielding, biophilic systems, acoustic architecture, air and water purification, and dedicated biohacking suites are integrated from day one. We design homes that actively enhance longevity and wellbeing.
Spatial Intelligence
Ultra luxury is not about square footage — it is about sequence. How you move through a home, what you see at each threshold, how light falls at each hour of the day. These spatial choreographies define the experience of living in a BHLI residence.
Technology Discretion
Smart home technology, audiovisual systems, security infrastructure, and climate control are invisible. When technology is present, it serves the architecture — never competing with it. Hidden behind perfect millwork. Silent. Absolute.
Complete Discretion
Every project is executed under strict NDA. Client identities, project locations, and design details are never disclosed. We have earned the trust of the world's most private individuals through absolute confidentiality.
Ultra Luxury Materials: A Different Standard
The materials in a BHLI ultra luxury residence are drawn from a global network of suppliers developed over twenty years of practice. Calcatta Oro marble from a single Italian quarry. Aged French oak planks cut from 300-year-old trees. Silk velvet woven in Lyon. Bronze hardware cast in London. Venetian plaster applied by third-generation maestros. Leather sourced from Northern European herds raised without barbed wire.
Material specification at the ultra luxury level requires a knowledge base that cannot be acquired from catalogues or trade shows. It requires relationships — with quarry owners in Carrara, with master weavers in Kyoto, with bronze foundries in Milan, with bespoke carpet studios in Tabriz. Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors has spent two decades building these relationships, and the result is access to materials that simply do not exist in the commercial design world.
Wellness: The Defining Differentiator
Ultra luxury design in the 21st century must address the whole human — not merely the aesthetic senses. Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors is at the forefront of wellness-integrated residential design, incorporating biophilic systems, circadian lighting architecture, acoustic engineering for sleep and focus, EMF mitigation materials, structured water systems, and dedicated biohacking environments into every major project.
Our luxury gym and wellness center design practice is among the most sophisticated in the world, delivering private biohacking suites, longevity clinics, cold plunge rooms, infrared sauna chambers, float tank sanctuaries, and performance training environments that rival the world's finest private medical facilities — within the aesthetic vocabulary of an ultra-luxury private residence.
Our Global Ultra Luxury Markets
Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors operates across the world's most demanding ultra-luxury residential markets. In London, we design for Mayfair townhouses and Belgravia mansions where the materials must be as refined as the Georgian architecture surrounding them. In Dubai, we create palace environments that synthesize Gulf heritage, Arabesque geometry, and California modernism into a new luxury language for the region. In Monaco, we design penthouses where every square meter must achieve perfection. In Tokyo, we work within the aesthetic discipline of Japanese spatial philosophy while delivering a Californian warmth that transforms the experience of living in the city.
Wherever we work, the ultra luxury standard is constant. The application changes — the philosophy does not.
Commissions We Accept
We accept a strictly limited number of new commissions each year. Our engagements begin at $1 million in project value, with primary residence projects typically ranging from $5 million to $50 million or more. We do not work on speculative developments, staged properties, or any project where the client's own vision and budget would constrain the realization of the design to a standard below what the brief demands.
If you are building or renovating an ultra-luxury residence and you believe Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors is the right firm for the work, we invite you to begin a conversation. Initial consultations are handled personally by Kenneth Bordewick and are conducted under complete confidentiality.
