Working With Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors

The Wellness Design Process

From the First Conversation to Life in the Finished Home

A Plain Account of How This Works

Clients ask us the same honest questions. Here are the honest answers.

Before a client commits to a wellness design engagement with Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors, they rightly want to know what actually happens. Not marketing language, but the practical shape of the relationship: what is discussed in the first meeting, what the fee is for, who is accountable for the builders and craftsmen in the home, what a household should expect during installation week, and whether anyone is still available once the family has moved back in.

This page sets that out clearly, for households considering a project in Beverly Hills or Los Angeles, London or Paris, Monaco or the French Riviera, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Doha, Kuwait or Bahrain, and Hong Kong, Singapore or mainland China. The process below is the same wherever the estate is located, because a single point of contact and a clearly stated fee are not a luxury. They are the standard.

Six Questions, Answered Directly

What Happens, Step by Step

1. What does wellness design mean in practice, compared with a standard luxury renovation?

A standard luxury renovation is judged on finishes, layout and aesthetics. Wellness design treats the home itself as a piece of quiet, invisible infrastructure for the body. Every light source, material, and air and water system is chosen to support circadian rhythm, respiratory health, the nervous system and long term cellular repair, using BHLI's Nine Pillars framework developed alongside Dr. Thom Lobe MD and Dr. Fouad Ghaly MD. A renovation makes a home more beautiful. Wellness design makes it measurably healthier to live in, and the two are planned together from the very first sketch rather than one being added on top of the other.

2. What happens in the first meeting, and is it chargeable?

The first meeting is a private, complimentary discovery consultation, held by phone, by video, or in person at BHLI's Beverly Hills office. Kenneth and the team review the property, the household's priorities and the scope in mind, then outline whether a Nine Pillars wellness assessment suits the project. There is no charge and no obligation for this initial conversation. A paid design engagement only begins once the client chooses to move forward with a formal proposal.

3. What does the design fee actually cover?

The fee covers the full arc of the work: design development and space planning, wellness systems engineering, material and fixture specification, procurement and sourcing, on site project management, and coordination of every trade through to installation and a final walkthrough. Fees are structured as either a percentage of project value or a fixed retainer depending on the scope of the estate, and the structure is set out plainly in the proposal before any commitment is made, with no hidden mark ups along the way.

4. Who manages the trades during the project?

BHLI manages every trade directly, architects, general contractors, electricians, HVAC and air quality specialists, master craftsmen and clinical wellness partners, so the household deals with a single point of contact rather than a dozen separate vendors. This is the same model Kenneth has run across BHLI's 12 global offices for more than three decades, and it applies equally whether the estate is in Beverly Hills, London, Dubai, Riyadh or Hong Kong.

5. What does install week look like for the household?

Installation is sequenced around the household. On occupied estates, work is typically staged room by room or wing by wing so portions of the home remain livable throughout. On vacant properties, BHLI can run an accelerated turnkey installation. Either way, the household is given a written day by day schedule in advance and a single project lead who manages the crew on site, so there are never any surprises about who is in the home and when.

6. Is there follow up after move in?

Yes. Every engagement includes a post occupancy walkthrough with the design team, and where clinical partners were involved, a follow up review of the home's air, water and light performance against the original specification. BHLI remains the client's point of contact for adjustments, warranty items and future phases well after installation is complete.
